Job Title: IVR / Cardiovascular Surgery Medical Coder

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Medical Coders with strong knowledge of Interventional Radiology (IVR) and Cardiovascular Surgery coding. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in reviewing medical records, interpreting operative reports, and accurately assigning procedure codes for complex cardiovascular and cardiac surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and interpret operative reports, procedure notes, and medical records related to IVR and cardiovascular surgery.
- Assign accurate CPT and ICD-10-CM codes, as applicable, in accordance with coding guidelines.
- Identify and code complex cardiac procedures with a strong understanding of procedural documentation.
- Ensure coding accuracy, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Identify documentation gaps and follow appropriate escalation procedures.
- Maintain compliance with applicable coding guidelines and client-specific requirements.

Mandatory Technical Knowledge Candidates must have working knowledge and coding experience in the following procedures:

- Pacemaker implantation and related procedures




- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Cardiac Catheterization
- Endarterectomy
- Open Cardiac Procedures
- Other related cardiovascular and interventional procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Prior experience in medical coding, preferably in IVR and Cardiovascular Surgery.
- Solid knowledge of CPT coding guidelines and cardiovascular procedure coding.
- Ability to interpret complex operative reports and surgical documentation.
- Good understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and procedural coding concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to meet quality and productivity targets.

Experience: Relevant experience in IVR / Cardiovascular Surgery Coding. Job Type: Full-time

Note: Candidates must have practical coding knowledge of all the mandatory procedures listed above. Candidates with experience in only general medical coding will not be considered for this requirement.
