Role Description This full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode combines interview training with Statement of Purpose (SOP) writing and mentoring.

The Interview

Trainer cum SOP Writer will prepare students for university and visa interviews through mock sessions, feedback, and coaching on communication, confidence, and clarity. The role involves drafting, editing, and refining SOPs and related application essays that accurately reflect each student’s profile and aspirations, while adhering to institutional guidelines. The trainer will conduct workshops, one-on-one sessions, and small group trainings on interview techniques, personal branding, and application documentation.

Responsibilities also include maintaining structured training materials, collaborating with counselors to understand student backgrounds, and tracking student progress to ensure readiness for admissions and visa processes.





Qualifications

- Strong interview coaching skills, including conducting mock interviews, providing constructive feedback, and training students in communication, body language, and confidence-building.
- Excellent academic writing and editing abilities, particularly in drafting SOPs, personal statements, and application essays that are clear, coherent, and tailored to individual student profiles.
- Proficiency in English language, with strong grammar, vocabulary, and proofreading skills, and the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse student backgrounds.
- Ability to design and deliver structured training sessions, workshops, and presentations, using explicit training materials, frameworks, and checklists.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and the capacity to guide and motivate students from varied cultural and academic contexts.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple students and deadlines, maintain records, and coordinate with counselors and internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Education, Psychology, or a related field; prior experience in interview training, study abroad consulting, or academic content writing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with international university admission processes, visa interviews, and standard requirements for SOPs and supporting documents is highly beneficial.
