Key Responsibilities

- Financial &
- Billing Audits

- Audit inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency room (ER) billing to verify tariff accuracy and prevent revenue leakage.

- Reconcile hospital billing revenue, pharmacy sales, and TPA (Third-Party Administrator) insurance claims.

- Review vendor payments, petty cash, and general ledger accounts against hospital policy.

- Operational &

- Inventory Audits

- Monitor stock procurement, medical supplies, and pharmacy inventory handling to check for pilferage, expiration, or wastage.

- Evaluate departmental workflows across clinical and non-clinical areas.

- Compliance &

- Quality Standards

- Support external, statutory,



and tax audits.

- Ensure operational readiness for accreditation standards like NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals &

- Healthcare Providers) or JCI.

- Maintain and update action-taken report (ATR) trackers to close audit observations.

- Reporting &

- Risk Management

- Prepare risk-based internal audit reports detailing findings, root causes, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

- Present audit observations to the hospital management or audit committee
