About the Role
We are looking for an IELTS & PTE Trainer to train students, conduct practice sessions and help them achieve their target scores. The candidate should have strong English communication skills, good subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts in a simple and practical manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct IELTS Academic, IELTS General and PTE Academic training sessions.
- Teach Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking modules.
- Conduct mock tests, speaking assessments and writing evaluations.
- Identify students' weak areas and prepare improvement plans.
- Track student attendance, performance and progress.
- Provide individual feedback and doubt-clearing sessions.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and practice material.
- Keep up to date with exam formats, question types and assessment criteria.
- Maintain regular communication with students regarding their progress.
- Coordinate with the counselling and admissions team when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong English communication, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
- Valuable knowledge of IELTS and/or PTE exam formats.
- Ability to teach in a simple, structured and engaging manner.
- Good writing and speaking assessment skills.
- Comfortable using computers, online practice platforms and digital mock tests.
- Responsible, punctual and focused on student outcomes.
Preferred:
- Experience in IELTS/PTE training.
- A strong personal IELTS/PTE score supported by a valid score report, where available.
- Experience handling classroom batches and individual student assessments.
Candidates with strong expertise in either IELTS or PTE may also apply if they are willing to learn and train in the other exam.
