Job Title: IB MYP & DP Subject Experts

Company: Manchester International School, Coimbatore

We are looking for qualified and passionate IB MYP (Middle Years Programme) and IB DP (Diploma Programme) Subject Experts to deliver high-quality, inquiry-based education, support student achievement, and implement the International Baccalaureate curriculum effectively.

Job Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP/DP curriculum and subject-specific objectives.
- Develop inquiry-based, concept-driven, and student-centred learning experiences.
- Prepare unit plans, lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Assess student performance using IB assessment criteria and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- For DP roles, guide students in relevant subject-specific coursework and components such as the Internal Assessment (IA), Extended Essay (EE), and other applicable requirements.
- For MYP roles, support interdisciplinary learning, Approaches to Learning (ATL), and the Personal Project, where applicable.
- Maintain student progress records, assessment reports, and curriculum documentation.




- Collaborate with the IB Coordinator, fellow teachers, and school leadership to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
- Participate in parent meetings, career development, curriculum reviews, and IB-related training.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- Teaching experience in the IB MYP and/or IB DP curriculum is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IB subject guides, curriculum frameworks, and assessment criteria.
- IB workshop training or certification is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
- Ability to use digital teaching tools and integrate technology into learning.
- A commitment to student-centred learning, academic excellence, and international-mindedness.

Preferred Experience
- Experience teaching in an IB World School.
- Familiarity with IB assessment procedures, curriculum planning, and subject-specific requirements.
