Training Manager – Hospitality (Learning & Development)

Location: Coorg, Karnataka

Employment: Full-time, on-site, with regular travel between properties

Salary: 5.4L - 6.2L per annum plus accommodation

About Raho

Raho is a hospitality operator that designs, renovates and operates vacation homes across non-urban leisure destinations in India. We bring together thoughtfully designed homes, local food and warm, personal hospitality to help guests connect with people, places and nature.

We’re looking for a hands-on Training Manager to build the capabilities of our ground teams across Coorg.

About the role

You will build and deliver practical training for our caretakers, housekeepers and other property staff, helping them feel confident in their roles and consistently meet Raho’s hospitality standards.

Your work will take you across our properties: demonstrating tasks, coaching employees, observing performance and helping teams improve. You will own the common hospitality foundation for new employees and work with department leads to deliver training for their specific roles.

This role suits someone who enjoys teaching, understands hotel or resort operations, and can make learning simple and accessible for people with different backgrounds and experience levels.

Key responsibilities

Build a structured induction programme

- Introduce new ground employees to Raho’s service standards, values and ways of working.
- Train teams on grooming, hygiene, guest interaction, privacy, communication, ownership and escalation.
- Assess readiness before employees begin working independently, together with their department lead.

Deliver practical training at properties

- Conduct demonstrations, supervised practice and on-the-job coaching.

- Train caretakers on welcoming guests, handling requests, daily property checks and coordinating services.
- Work with the Housekeeping Manager on cleaning procedures, room readiness, hygiene and equipment care.
- Coordinate with F&B; and maintenance leads on specialist training within their departments.

Create useful training materials

- Translate SOPs into clear training modules, visual guides, demonstrations and checklists.
- Build training calendars and maintain employee training and assessment records.
- Adapt delivery to employees’ language, literacy and learning needs.

Improve performance through ongoing coaching

- Identify training needs using property inspections, guest feedback, complaints and manager observations.
- Conduct refresher sessions and targeted retraining.
- Verify that employees can apply what they have learned during daily work.
- Support cluster managers and department leads in coaching their teams consistently.

Support new-property openings

- Plan and deliver training for teams joining new properties.
- Work with operations and department leads to assess staff readiness before launch.

What we’re looking for
- Experience in hospitality training, hotel or resort Learning & Development, or an operational role with substantial responsibility for staff training.
- Strong practical understanding of housekeeping,

guest service and day-to-day property operations.
- Experience conducting induction, practical demonstrations, coaching and competency assessments.
- Ability to create structured training programmes and simple learning materials.
- Ability to train effectively in Kannada, with English for documentation. Hindi or other regional languages would be an advantage.
- Patience, clear communication and respect for employees with diverse education and experience.
- Willingness to be based in Coorg and travel regularly between properties.
- A qualification in hotel management, hospitality or a related field is preferred.

Experience with resorts, vacation homes or operations spread across multiple properties would be an advantage. We also welcome applications from experienced hospitality operations professionals who can demonstrate a strong track record of developing frontline teams.

What success looks like

- New employees complete induction and demonstrate the skills needed for their roles.
- Teams consistently apply service standards and SOPs during daily work.
- Training addresses recurring service gaps and contributes to fewer repeated errors.
- Managers have clear visibility into each employee’s training progress and development needs.
- Teams feel supported, capable and confident in caring for guests.

Why join Raho?

You will work directly with the founder and operations team to build Raho’s ground-staff training programme. This is an opportunity to shape how our people learn, grow and deliver hospitality as our network expands.

If you enjoy helping people develop and take pride in warm, thoughtful hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.
