Job Summary

HIMS invites applications from qualified and experienced academicians for the position of HOD – B.Com to lead departmental activities, coordinate faculty, strengthen academic delivery, mentor students, and promote research and institutional excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead departmental academic planning, curriculum delivery, and faculty coordination.
- Teach Commerce subjects, including Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Auditing, Business Law, and Management.
- Monitor student performance, coordinate examinations, and implement remedial teaching.
- Organise seminars, workshops, industry interactions, internships, and commerce-related activities.
- Promote research, publications, and faculty development.
- Support student mentoring, career development, IQAC, NAAC, academic audits, and accreditation documentation.




- Maintain departmental records and submit periodic reports to institutional authorities.

Essential Qualifications
- M.Com or an equivalent relevant postgraduate qualification from a recognised university.
- Ph.D. in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Must meet applicable university and regulatory eligibility requirements.

Required Skills
- Robust subject knowledge in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, and Taxation.
- Excellent academic leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in curriculum planning, assessment, faculty mentoring, and academic documentation.
- Commitment to research, quality assurance, and student development.
