Head – Operations & Maintenance (O&M;)

Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial Production / Electrical Engineering

Experience:10 years in Operations & Maintenance

Job Purpose To lead and optimize end-to-end operations and maintenance of the Dross Processing Unit (DPU), ensuring protected, efficient, and zero-dust/fume-emission operations. The role involves equipment commissioning, reliability improvement, preventive maintenance, implementation of SMPs/SOPs, and effective resource management to ensure uninterrupted production and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure plant safety, statutory compliance, and zero dust/fume emissions.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor Standard Maintenance Practices (SMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead the erection, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment and systems.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Minimize equipment breakdowns and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely execution and closure of AO, VSAP, and QMS activities.
- Manage spare parts planning, inventory control, and procurement coordination.




- Monitor plant operations and ensure uninterrupted production through effective maintenance planning.
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Train, guide, and develop the operations and maintenance team to improve technical capabilities and safety standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in plant operations and maintenance.
- Experience in a Dross Processing Unit (DPU), aluminium, steel, or similar heavy industrial plant is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, commissioning, reliability management, SMPs/SOPs, and safety compliance.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage breakdowns, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
