The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministryof Education, Government of India, invites Online Applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the post of Graphic Designer Cum Video Editor purely on a contractual basis. The engagement shall be initiallyfor a period of 11 months, with the possibility of extension subject to the appointee’s satisfactory performanceand the functional requirements of the Institute.

Role Description The Graphic Designer Cum Video Editor will create visually compelling designs and multimedia content for institutional communication, branding, and outreach at IIT Hyderabad. This full-time, in office role based in Hyderabad involves designing graphics for digital and print media, including social media creatives, brochures, posters, presentations, and web assets. The role includes developing and refining logos and brand elements, selecting appropriate typography, and ensuring visual consistency across all materials.

Editor responsibilities include planning storyboards, editing raw footage, adding motion graphics, text overlays, and sound, and optimizing content for various platforms. The individual will collaborate with academic and administrative teams to understand requirements, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain design quality aligned with the institute’s vision and mission.

Essential Education Qualifications& Experience :

a)



Bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPAin GraphicDesign, Design / Media Design, Multimedia / Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Media & Communication, Video Production, or other closely relateddisciplines.

b) Minimum 2.5 years of post qualification professional experience in graphic designing, video editingand multimedia content creation.

c) Proficiency in professional graphic design and video editing software, including relevant tools suchasAdobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, or equivalent professional software.

d) Demonstrated ability to create high-quality digital and print designs, institutional publications, social media creatives, videos, reels, motion graphics and multimedia content.

e) A strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, video editing and multimedia work is essential.

Desirable qualifications

a) Experience of working on communication, branding, publications or multimedia content for aGovernment organisation, educational institution, research organisation, IIT, university or similar institution.

b) Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, infographics and visual storytelling.

c) Understanding of institutional branding, typography, layout, visual hierarchy and print production.

d) Strong communication, coordination and collaboration skills.
