Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Idukki, with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. This position oversees daily operations, including production planning, quality control, procurement, and supply chain coordination to ensure efficient delivery of food products.

The General

Manager leads and develops cross-functional teams, sets performance objectives, and monitors key business metrics such as sales, margins, and inventory levels. The role involves collaborating with finance and senior leadership on budgeting, cost optimization, and strategic planning, as well as working with sales and marketing to strengthen the brand and expand market reach.

The General

Manager also ensures compliance with food safety regulations, company policies,



and health and safety standards, while driving process improvements and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in operations management, preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including team management, performance coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in business planning, budgeting, and financial analysis to support sustainable growth and cost control.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance relevant to food products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site operational oversight in Idukki with remote coordination tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Proven track record of problem-solving, process improvement, and data-driven decision making.
- Comfort with using digital tools and basic business software (e.g., spreadsheets, ERPs, reporting tools).
- Prior experience managing mid-sized or growing organizations and familiarity with the Kerala market is highly beneficial.
