About Netport Systems

Netport Systems Private Limited designs, builds and supplies industrial computing and embedded systems for demanding environments across manufacturing, automation, transportation, defence, telecom and edge-computing applications. Headquartered in Bengaluru with group operations spanning India, Singapore and Taiwan, we combine engineering depth with a hands-on, founder-led culture.

Our range covers industrial and embedded boards, box and panel PCs, rugged and railway-grade edge computers, network appliances and rack and GPU servers including ActEck, the group's own OEM brand sold to OEMs, system integrators and end users in India and exported to the United States.

We are in an active growth phase: expanding from a 15-person team to over 40, formalising processes, pursuing ISO 9001 certification and building a professional management layer under the founders. Every role described here is being created as part of that build.

Purpose of the role The General Manager is accountable for the operating performance of Netport Systems in India. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the Operations Manager, the HR Manager, the Procurement & Logistics Manager, the Field Application Engineer (who heads production and quality), the warehouse and the administration staff around 20 people today and growing. Sales and finance report separately to the founders and the Finance Head; you will work with both daily.

The company is moving from founder-run to professionally managed: processes are being written, ISO 9001 certification is under way, an ERP roll-out is planned and the team is doubling.

The General

Manager makes that transition real installing operating discipline, KPIs and accountability without losing the speed the company is known for. It suits an operations leader who has run a hardware assembly or distribution business, thinks in numbers,

and is comfortable being the person the founders hand the keys to.

Role & responsibilities A . Operating Leardership

Own the annual operating plan for the India entity delivery, cost, quality and headcount and review it monthly with the CEO.

Run the order-to-delivery engine: production planning, assembly and testing, quality control, stores and dispatch, on-time-in-full delivery.

Own procurement and imports through the Procurement & Logistics Manager: vendor performance, landed cost, lead times, inventory turns and ageing.

B . Quality, Process, And Systems

Lead ISO 9001 certification and thereafter the management-review cycle; own SOP coverage, document control and corrective actions.

Drive the ERP and CRM roll-out into daily use across operations, stores and procurement; build the KPI dashboard the business runs on.

Identify and remove recurring inefficiencies; deliver cost and cycle-time improvements each quarter.

C . People And Organisation

Lead, coach and hold accountable the functional managers; run the performance-management cycle with HR.

Own the hiring plan for operations, production, quality, stores and administration; take over the induction and probation programme for new managers from the CEO.

Build a culture of ownership and follow-through; resolve cross-functional conflicts on priority and sequencing.

D . C O M P L I A N C E , R I S K A N D A D M I N I S T R AT I O N

Ensure statutory licences and registrations (Shops & Establishment, PF/ESI, factory and trade licences,

IEC), insurance covers, safety and data protection are current.

Oversee facilities, IT infrastructure, vehicles, contracts and administrative vendors.

Escalate to the CEO early, with a recommendation, on anything that threatens delivery, cash or reputation.
