Job Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced candidate with expertise in furniture manufacturing, product specifications, quality standards, and furniture-related certifications. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with manufacturers, understanding applicable certification requirements, managing product documentation, and assisting with furniture product catalogue creation and OEM-related registration on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).

Key Responsibilities

1. Furniture Manufacturing & Technical Knowledge

- Understand furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.
- Have knowledge of wooden, metal, modular, office, institutional, and commercial furniture.
- Understand furniture specifications, dimensions, material grades, finishes, fittings, and hardware.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers for product specifications, samples, quotations, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate product quality, durability, functionality, and compliance with applicable specifications.

2. Furniture Certifications & Quality Standards

- Identify applicable BIS standards, ISI marking requirements, Quality Control Orders (QCOs), and other relevant certifications for different furniture products.
- Understand certification and testing requirements for office chairs, tables, desks, almirahs, storage cabinets, and other furniture items.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, accredited laboratories,



and certification agencies for product testing and certification.
- Verify the validity and applicability of certificates, test reports, and quality documents.
- Maintain records of product certifications, manufacturer authorizations, and compliance documents.

3. GeM Seller, OEM & Product Catalogue Management

- Understand GeM seller registration and furniture product catalogue requirements.
- Assist in OEM-related registration and product authorization processes, as applicable.
- Create and manage furniture product catalogues on GeM.
- Ensure accurate product descriptions, technical specifications, images, brand details, and manufacturer information.
- Coordinate with manufacturers to obtain the necessary documents for OEM verification and product listing.
- Resolve product catalogue rejection, technical specification, and documentation issues.

4. Manufacturer & Supplier Coordination

- Identify and coordinate with reliable furniture manufacturers, OEMs, and suppliers.
- Collect product specifications, price lists, catalogues, GST details, and other relevant documents.
- Compare product quality, materials, manufacturing capabilities, and commercial terms.
- Coordinate for samples, product demonstrations, quality checks, warranty information, and after-sales support.

5. Product Documentation & Compliance





- Maintain a database of furniture products, technical specifications, certifications, and manufacturer details.
- Prepare product information sheets and technical documentation.
- Monitor changes in applicable furniture standards and certification requirements.
- Ensure product descriptions and claims are supported by valid documentation.
- Maintain organized records of certificates, test reports, and product compliance documents.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate or diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Furniture Technology, Interior Design, or a related field. Candidates with relevant practical experience may also be considered.
- 2–5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, product compliance, quality control, or GeM catalogue management.
- Practical knowledge of furniture materials, manufacturing methods, and technical specifications.
- Understanding of BIS/ISI requirements and applicable furniture certifications.
- Knowledge of GeM seller registration, OEM processes, and product catalogue creation.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and online portals.
- Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working directly with furniture manufacturers or OEMs.
- Practical knowledge of furniture testing, certification, and quality assurance.
- Experience creating furniture product catalogues on GeM.
- Ability to identify the correct standards and certification requirements for different furniture products.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
