Job Summary

This hybrid role seeks a Functional Lead with nine to thirteen years of experience in SAP and SAP IS Utilities Device Management to drive functional design and delivery for Energy and Utilities client. The candidate will translate business needs into robust SAP solutions that enhance operational reliability regulatory compliance and sustainable energy outcomes while collaborating closely with cross functional teams in a day shift model.

Responsibilities

- Drive detailed functional analysis for SAP IS Utilities Device Management to translate engineering and construction and energy trading business needs into scalable and compliant solutions that improve asset visibility and meter operations efficiency.
- Design robust SAP ISU Device Management configurations that streamline device lifecycle processes including installation removal replacement and inspection to ensure accurate billing and operational continuity.
- Coordinate with engineering and construction stakeholders to map project workflows and asset structures into SAP so that construction progress tracking material usage and field activities are accurately reflected in system transactions.
- Align energy trading operations with SAP processes by defining device data requirements for metering and measurement that support precise volumetric reporting risk control and settlements.
- Develop comprehensive functional specifications for enhancements integrations and reports related to SAP device management ensuring that technical teams can implement changes with minimal rework and explicit acceptance criteria.
- Validate end to end process flows for device related transactions in SAP by conducting functional testing integration testing and user acceptance testing to secure stable production operations.




- Collaborate with business users in hybrid working mode to gather requirements clarify process gaps and propose standard SAP based solutions that balance cost efficiency and regulatory adherence.
- Guide issue resolution in day shift operations by analyzing incident trends in SAP ISU Device Management and coordinating timely fixes to reduce downtime and improve user confidence.
- Document process designs configuration decisions and operating procedures for SAP device management so that project teams and support teams can maintain consistent practices and knowledge retention.
- Optimize data quality related to devices meters transformers and associated objects in SAP by defining validation rules governance checkpoints and reconciliation routines that support reliable reporting.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams such as billing finance and field service to ensure that device related process changes do not disrupt downstream functions and that cross module integration remains intact.
- Support cutover and go live activities by planning device data migration sequences validating conversion results and coordinating user readiness to secure smooth transitions into production.
- Mentor junior functional practitioners on SAP device management concepts testing practices and documentation standards so that the broader team can deliver consistent and repeatable outcomes.

Qualifications





- Require strong hands on experience in SAP IS Utilities Device Management including configuration of device categories registers installation structures move in and move out processes and device events for complex utility environments.
- Require proven exposure to engineering and construction business processes such as project execution asset commissioning material tracking and field work management implemented within or integrated with SAP.
- Require experience working with energy trading operations where device and metering data supports trade capture balancing settlement and regulatory reporting within SAP or connected applications.
- Require demonstrated capability to design and test end to end SAP scenarios that span device management billing finance and operations to ensure process integrity and data consistency.
- Require strong proficiency in writing functional specifications test scenarios and training materials that clearly explain SAP behavior to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Require practical experience operating in hybrid work models and collaborating with distributed teams using remote collaboration tools while maintaining high service quality in a day shift schedule.
- Nice to have experience with adjacent SAP utilities components such as customer service billing work management or plant maintenance that interact with device data for holistic solution delivery.
- Nice to have experience with regulatory or industry standards in utilities and energy trading where accurate metering device status and asset records play a central role in compliance and audit readiness.
- Nice to have exposure to analytics or reporting tools connected to SAP that leverage device and metering data for performance dashboards predictive maintenance and operational insights.

Certifications Required Preferred SAP certification in SAP IS Utilities or SAP S4HANA Utilities or related SAP functional modules.
