About Globeia

Moving to another country means proving who you are, again and again. Fingerprints, police clearances, apostilles, translations, visas. Today that process is slow, confusing and built around government counters. Globeia exists to fix it.

We started in 2020 and we are fully bootstrapped. No outside investors, no burn for the sake of burn. Every city we open is paid for by customers who needed us. Today Globeia is live in 70 cities across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia and India, with offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Toronto, London, Lisbon, Barcelona, Madrid, Sydney, Melbourne and Gurugram. By the end of this year we will be live in more than 100 cities.

What we are building

We are building a global identity platform: one place where a person's identity and documents live, verified once and ready for every move they make for the rest of their life. Think of it as the record that travels with you across borders.

That is a big product and an even bigger brand problem. Globeia has to feel trustworthy enough for someone to hand over their fingerprints, and warm enough that they come back years later for their next move. It has to work in Lisbon, Toronto, Sydney and Delhi without feeling like it belongs to only one of them. Very few Indian teams get to build a consumer brand at that scale from day one. This one does.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong backend engineering and system architecture expertise.



The ideal candidate will specialize in building scalable, high-performance backend systems while having proficiency in React/Next.js.

Key Responsibilities

- Design scalable, secure systems using modular and event-driven architectures.
- Develop high-performance APIs using TypeScript and NestJS.
- Manage AWS infrastructure, Docker, ECS Fargate, and Terraform.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases using Prisma.
- Implement caching, message queues, and background processing using Valkey and BullMQ.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and ensure application security and performance.
- Integrate React/Next.js frontends with backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor developers, and drive engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of backend development experience, including 3+ years with Node.js/TypeScript.
- Solid expertise in TypeScript, NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Valkey, and BullMQ.
- Proficiency in React/Next.js and system design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, ECS Fargate, Docker, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of database optimization, concurrency, state management, and audit trails.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, GDPR, and data security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
