About Sharq

Sharq builds sovereign, specialist AI for enterprises and governments across the GCC and MENA. We post-train and serve models tailored to the region’s languages, regulations, and infrastructure, so banks, telecoms, insurers, and public-sector organisations can deploy AI they actually control, on their own terms and inside their own borders.

We’re an early-stage team, and as one of our first Forward Deployed Engineers you’ll be the bridge between our technology and the customers who depend on it.

What you’ll do

- Work directly with enterprise and government clients to understand their workflows, data, and constraints, then design and deliver AI solutions that solve real problems
- Deploy, configure, and integrate our models into customer environments, including private cloud, on-premise, and air-gapped setups
- Build custom pipelines, connectors, and applications on top of our platform for each engagement
- Own deployments end to end, from scoping and prototyping to production rollout and ongoing support
- Feed what you learn in the field back to our core engineering team to shape the product roadmap

What we’re looking for

- [3+] years of experience building production software, with robust Python skills
- Hands-on experience with LLMs: RAG systems, fine-tuning, evaluation, or model serving (vLLM, Triton, or similar)
- Solid grounding in cloud and container infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP)




- Excellent communication skills: you’re as comfortable presenting to a client’s leadership team as you are debugging their data pipeline
- A problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys working across technical and business conversations
- Ability to work with significant overlap with Gulf Standard Time (GMT+4, just 1.5 hours behind IST)
- Willingness to travel to client sites in the UAE and wider GCC as needed

Nice to have

- Arabic language skills, or experience building multilingual or Arabic NLP systems
- Prior experience in a client-facing engineering, solutions, or consulting role
- Background in banking, telecom, insurance, or government technology
- Familiarity with data-sovereignty and security requirements in regulated industries
