Role Description The Fashion Design Professor will deliver engaging lectures, studio classes, and workshops in fashion design, guiding learners through concept development, illustration, pattern making, garment construction, and portfolio creation. The role involves designing and updating curricula, creating lesson plans aligned with industry trends, and assessing learner performance through assignments, projects, and juries. The professor will mentor learners on creative processes, technical skills, and professional readiness, supporting internships, competitions,



and showcasing opportunities.

Responsibilities include collaborating with industry partners for guest lectures and industry visits, contributing to academic committees, and participating in institutional events and exhibitions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in fashion design fundamentals, including concept development, illustration, pattern making, draping, and garment construction.
- Experience with fashion CAD and design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD pattern tools, and digital portfolio platforms.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, academic assessment, and studio-based teaching.
- Knowledge of fashion history, textiles, sustainable design practices, and current global fashion trends.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to support diverse learners.
- Master’s degree in Fashion Design or a closely related discipline; significant industry or teaching experience preferred.
- Evidence of professional work, published projects, exhibitions, or participation in fashion shows and industry collaborations.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching, continuous learning, and fostering creativity and innovation in a multidisciplinary environment.
