Role Purpose

Lead and coordinate the engineering function for EPC projects, ensuring technically sound, compliant, cost-effective and timely engineering deliverables that support procurement, construction, installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the engineering team and manage engineering activities from project kick-off through detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
- Review project specifications, scope of work, client requirements, design basis, technical standards and contractual deliverables.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and interfaces across relevant disciplines, consultants, vendors and client teams.
- Develop and monitor the engineering deliverables register, design schedule, document submission plan and resource loading.
- Review and approve drawings, calculations, datasheets, technical specifications, design documents and vendor documents within delegated authority.
- Ensure engineering outputs meet applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, quality procedures and client specifications.
- Coordinate with procurement for technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, purchase specifications, vendor drawing approvals and technical clarifications.
- Provide timely technical support to construction,



site execution, quality and commissioning teams; resolve site queries and design changes.
- Manage technical deviations, design changes, value engineering, constructability reviews and interface risks.
- Track engineering progress and KPIs; identify slippages and implement corrective actions to protect project milestones.
- Coordinate with planning, project controls, contracts and project management teams on schedule, cost and scope impacts.
- Maintain engineering document control, revision management, review records and final as-built documentation.
- Guide, mentor and develop engineers and design resources; promote standardization and lessons learned across projects.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong EPC engineering management experience, including design coordination and engineering deliverable control.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, codes, standards and contract requirements.
- Excellent coordination across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning functions.
- Experience with engineering schedules, technical reviews, document control and change management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, team leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
- Working knowledge of project planning tools and engineering/document management systems is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile An engineering skilled with 15+ years of direct EPC project experience and a demonstrated record of leading engineering teams and delivering multidisciplinary engineering packages. Experience solely in manufacturing, maintenance or design-office roles outside EPC project execution will not meet the stated industry requirement.
