About the Role

InventIndia is looking for a skilled and self-driven Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and debugging of electronic hardware products.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in embedded hardware design, schematic development, PCB layout, component selection, and hardware bring-up. You will collaborate closely with firmware engineers, mechanical engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, cost-effective electronic products that meet client requirements and industry standards.

The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop electronic hardware products, including circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection.
- Develop hardware architectures based on project requirements, functionality, performance, and cost considerations.
- Perform schematic design, component selection, BOM preparation and management, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis.
- Carry out PCB bring-up, hardware testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware components.
- Develop and maintain hardware design documentation, technical specifications, calculations, procedures, and design standards.
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements to existing products and current designs.
- Support the development of hardware solutions involving embedded systems, IoT applications, power electronics, motors, and drive systems.
- Provide technical support and coordinate with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
- Actively participate in client calls and provide project updates, technical clarifications, and progress reports.
- Support product testing and compliance activities to ensure adherence to applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
- Manage assigned project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure timely delivery with minimal supervision.

Required Technical Skills

- Embedded Hardware Design

Hands-on experience designing embedded hardware using 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers.

Familiarity with ARM Cortex-based MCUs and platforms such as STM32, ESP32, Nordic,



and other manufacturers.

Experience with embedded hardware architecture and component selection.

- Circuit Design and PCB Development

Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.

Experience in schematic design, PCB layout, BOM management, and signal integrity.

Knowledge of high-speed PCB design and routing.

Experience with SMPS, communication circuits, and discrete circuit design.

Ability to select cost-effective components while meeting functional and performance requirements.

Familiarity with electronic CAD tools, preferably KiCad.

- Communication Protocols and Wireless Technologies

Working knowledge of SPI, I²C, UART, RS-485, USB, and other serial communication interfaces.

Experience with wireless technologies such as GSM, dual-band Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and Bluetooth.

Exposure to IoT-based hardware applications.

- Testing, Debugging, and Validation

Hands-on experience with PCB bring-up, hardware debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generators, and electronic loads.

Familiarity with safety and compliance testing requirements, including UL, CE, MID, FCC, and other applicable standards.

- Power Electronics and Documentation

Knowledge of power systems, power electronics, motors, and drive systems.

Ability to prepare design documents, technical specifications, calculations, and test

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
