Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Quality Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance of all electrical installation activities, inspections, testing, and documentation in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC inspections for electrical construction activities including:
- Cable tray installation
- Cable laying and termination
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Electrical panels and switchgear
- Lighting systems
- Transformers and DG systems
- Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
- Conduct stage-wise inspections and maintain quality records.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with approved project quality plans and standards.
- Witness and verify electrical testing activities including IR, continuity, earth resistance, and functional tests.
- Prepare inspection requests (IRs), quality reports, checklists, and test documentation.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, and construction teams for inspections and approvals.
- Raise and track NCRs,
ensuring timely closure through corrective actions.
- Maintain quality documentation and ensure proper record management.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Monitor subcontractor work quality and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 5–7 years of QA/QC experience in construction, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or EPC projects.
Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of electrical construction practices.
- Experience in inspection and testing of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with IS, IEC, and project quality standards.
- Understanding of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and QA/QC procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
