Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Donor Communication & Proposal Associate to manage donor reporting, proposal development, and strategic communication. The role requires creating bespoke donor reports, preparing annual and quarterly communication materials, aligning documentation with regulatory and donor requirements, and developing compelling funding proposals.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the social sector, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate program data into impactful narratives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Donor Reporting & Communication

- Develop bespoke donor reports aligned with specific donor expectations.
- Prepare and circulate quarterly donor communication updates.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of the organizations Annual Report.
- Draft compelling impact stories supported by program data.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors and stakeholders.

1. Proposal Writing & Fundraising Support

- Develop high-quality project proposals and concept notes for institutional donors, CSR partners, and foundations.
- Customize proposals as per donor guidelines and funding priorities.
- Coordinate with program and finance teams to gather required inputs.




- Maintain a proposal repository and track submission timelines.

1. Data Analysis & Presentation

- Good skill set to compile, analyze, and present program data in structured formats.
- Convert data into visually compelling dashboards, charts, and summaries.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of impact metrics across all communication materials.
- Work closely with M&E; teams for validated reporting.

1. Regulatory & Donor Alignment

- Research and understand:
- Current donor requirements
- Regulatory frameworks
- CSR and funding compliance norms
- Align reporting formats and documentation with compliance standards.
- Maintain documentation in line with statutory and donor guidelines.

1. Documentation & Tools

Create high-quality reports and presentations using:

Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Excel (advanced proficiency preferred)

Develop structured templates for reporting and proposals.

Maintain a centralized repository of donor communications.

Required Skills & Competencies

3 to 5 years of experience in donor reporting, proposal writing, or CSR communication.

Strong written English and storytelling ability.

Excellent data interpretation and presentation skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

High attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

Ability to coordinate across multiple teams.

High Accountability for the deliverables

Preferred Qualifications





Background in the social sector / NGO / CSR reporting.

Experience in impact assessment and donor compliance.

Experience in preparing Annual Reports and fundraising proposals.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

- Masters degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, or a related field.

Experience:
- 35 years of experience in donor reporting, proposal writing, or CSR communication.
- It would be valuable to have 8-12 years of social sector experience, ideally combined with 4-6 years of M&E; experience across rural/urban livelihoods, education, health, animal welfare.
- Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in M&E; software and data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
