We are looking for someone with some experience managing digital projects, a good understanding of publishing workflows, and an editorial perspective.
Responsibilities:
Customers
● To run digital projects for key ELT customer accounts.
● To communicate effectively with the Programme Manager, providing regular project updates.
● To add value for our customers by identifying potential project risks and issues as early as possible and proactively managing these by offering solutions based on own publishing experience and knowledge. Escalating risks and issues to the Senior Manager when required.
● To contribute to and maintain project workflow development and documentation, ensuring processes are tailored to customer needs.
Projects
● To schedule and manage the stages of s digital projects independently.
● To follow Newgen Learning’s standard operating procedures.
● Commission and supply work to freelance suppliers as required; monitor their work and find current resource as necessary.
● To ensure that all products are delivered on time, meet quality standards,
fall within budget and are produced to the required specification.
● To contribute to and maintain project workflow development and documentation, ensuring processes are tailored to project needs.
Finance and KPIs
● To maintain budget and cost trackers and deliver projects to the agreed margin, with a focus on keeping costs down.
● Manage project budgets, ensuring financial information is correct across trackers, pubkit and SOWs.
● Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): profit margin, vendor spend, schedule variance to the Programme Manager as necessary.
To ensure that all products are delivered and fall within budget. If necessary, flag to the Programme Manager whenever there's a need to increase budget or spend more (i.e. scope creep or extra resourcing).
