Role Description This is a full-time Design Engineer role based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility.

The Design

Engineer will design and develop customized material handling equipment, translating customer requirements and application needs into robust mechanical and electrical designs. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, collaborating with production and service teams, and supporting product modifications for existing vehicles. The role involves reviewing design feasibility, coordinating with suppliers on component specifications,



and ensuring designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

The Design

Engineer will also participate in design reviews, address feedback from manufacturing and field service, and support continuous improvement of existing products.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to customized material handling equipment.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and preparing manufacturing drawings.
- Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to industrial machinery and equipment integration.
- Experience or interest in Product Design, including concept development, prototyping, and design for manufacturability.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in design, production, and service.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality, and willingness to work in office at the Chennai facility when required.
