Role Description The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai. This role involves preparing detailed technical and engineering drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants, piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and related structural elements using CAD software. The CAD Drafter will collaborate closely with project engineers to translate conceptual designs and specifications into accurate 2D and 3D drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Daily tasks include updating drawings based on design revisions,



maintaining drawing documentation, supporting tender and construction drawings, and coordinating with project teams to resolve design-related queries. The role also involves ensuring that all drawings are clear, consistent, and ready for fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications:

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing to represent industrial plant components with precision.
- Candidates should possess skills in Engineering Drawings to interpret and create detailed layouts, sections, and schematics for process and mechanical systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Architectural Drawings to support layout planning for plant buildings, utility areas, and site arrangements.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D drafting (e.g., AutoCAD or similar software).
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs;, GA drawings, and equipment datasheets is highly beneficial.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in dimensioning, and familiarity with relevant standards and codes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering, projects, and fabrication teams.
- Prior experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, or process plant design is an advantage.
