We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chinese Commi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing authentic Chinese dishes, maintain kitchen standards, and support senior chefs in delivering high-quality food to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese cuisine (starters, mains, noodles, rice, dim sum, etc.).
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily operations.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist in stock rotation.
- Contribute to menu innovation and seasonal dish development.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Commi Chef in Chinese cuisine (hotel/restaurant background preferred).
- Knowledge of wok cooking, sauces, and traditional Chinese techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Culinary diploma/certification is an added advantage.
