Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Civil Foreman for our high-rise residential building project in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, managing workers and subcontractors, ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings, and maintaining quality, safety and productivity standards.

Candidates must have prior experience in high-rise building construction and the ability to coordinate effectively with site engineers, supervisors and other project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.
- Allocate work to masons, carpenters, bar benders and other construction workers.
- Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and instructions from site engineers.
- Supervise RCC works, including reinforcement, shuttering, concreting and de-shuttering.
- Monitor aluminium formwork (Mivan) activities, if applicable.
- Coordinate masonry, plastering, waterproofing and other finishing activities.
- Ensure manpower, materials, tools and equipment are available as per daily work requirements.
- Monitor daily work progress and achieve the targets assigned by the site engineer or project team.
- Ensure proper workmanship and report defects or deviations immediately.
- Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC, safety personnel and subcontractors.
- Follow site safety procedures and ensure workers use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).




- Maintain daily manpower records and report work progress to the reporting manager.
- Identify site constraints and escalate issues related to materials, drawings, manpower or equipment.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain discipline at the construction site.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / relevant construction trade; candidates with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
- 6–10 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in high-rise residential building projects.
- Practical experience in supervising RCC works, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting and masonry.
- Experience in high-rise building construction is mandatory.
- Mivan / aluminium formwork experience will be an added advantage.
- Ability to read and understand civil drawings and site instructions.
- Good manpower handling, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of construction quality standards and site safety practices.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
