About Tara Mindspace

Tara Mindspace is a meditation and emotional well-being startup offering structured, live, expert-led programs that combine psychological insights, mindfulness and practical techniques for everyday challenges.

We are developing Parenting in the Age of Screens, a live, interactive program to help parents navigate the challenges of raising children and teenagers in an increasingly digital world.

The program will combine child and adolescent psychology with mindfulness-based parenting practices.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychologist who can help parents understand children's digital behaviour and develop healthier relationships with technology.

The psychologist will collaborate with our meditation faculty to deliver a short, structured program through live online sessions.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have worked extensively with children, adolescents and parents, and can translate psychological knowledge into practical, actionable advice.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct engaging, interactive online sessions for parents of children and adolescents.
- Explain the psychological impact of excessive screen exposure, gaming, social media and digital dependency.
- Help parents understand emotional outbursts, irritability, resistance, attention difficulties and conflicts associated with screen restrictions.

- Teach evidence-informed strategies for establishing healthy digital boundaries without excessive punishment, confrontation or shame.
- Address common parenting challenges including screen-time negotiations, gaming habits, online peer pressure, social media validation and family communication.
- Guide parents on age-appropriate digital habits, emotional regulation and positive behaviour management.
- Help identify warning signs that may require individual professional assessment.
- Collaborate with meditation faculty to integrate mindfulness and emotional regulation practices into the program.
- Contribute to session structure, case examples, activities and practical take-home exercises.
- Participate in interactive parent Q&A; sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

- Master's degree or higher in Psychology, preferably with a specialisation in Child Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working with children, adolescents and/or parents.
- Demonstrated experience in behavioural challenges, parenting guidance, emotional regulation or adolescent mental health.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable conducting live interactive sessions in English and Hindi.

Preferred

- Experience with digital addiction, problematic gaming, excessive screen use or technology-related behavioural challenges.

- Experience conducting parenting workshops, webinars or psychoeducational group programs.
- Familiarity with evidence-based parenting approaches, CBT-informed strategies or family interventions.
- RCI registration where applicable to the clinical qualification or professional designation.
- Prior experience collaborating with educators, mindfulness teachers or wellness organisations.

Engagement Structure

- Short-format online parenting program delivered in live cohorts.
- Approximately 2–3 psychologist-led sessions per cohort, subject to final curriculum design.
- Each session approximately 45–60 minutes.
- Opportunity to collaborate on curriculum development and future parenting or adolescent well-being programs.
- Flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends.
- Potential for an ongoing association as Tara Mindspace expands its programs.

Who Would Be an Ideal Fit?

We are looking for someone who is not only academically qualified but also a warm, articulate and engaging educator.

The ideal candidate can explain complicated psychological concepts in simple language, relate to everyday parenting situations, handle sensitive questions empathetically and provide parents with practical tools they can use immediately.

How to Apply

Please share

- Your updated CV or LinkedIn profile.
- A brief summary of your experience working with children, adolescents and parents.
- Details of any parenting workshops or group sessions conducted.
