This is a Permanent role with a Pre-Seed Startup in Fintech domain - A Valued client of Colosseum Consulting Job Title: Zero-to-1 Backend Engineer ( CTO / VP of Engineering ) (AI-First | Crypto). Looking for someone which can start as an IC and later move to leadership role and own a complete Engineering org.
Role Build backend-heavy financial systems from scratch across crypto/stablecoin/web3 infrastructure. Own architecture, scalability, and security while working in an AI-first engineering setup.
Key Requirements
- Solid backend in Python
- Experience with payments, ledgers,
reconciliation, or wallets
- Solid system design (distributed systems, APIs, microservices)
- Hands-on with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Hands-on with AWS
- Understanding of blockchain, wallets, or token systems
- Strong security and infra fundamentals
- AI-first mindset (using AI tools in development)
