Director’s Office - Strategy & OperationsCompany: CarzSpa

Experience: 5–9 years

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Compensation: ₹18–28 LPA CTC

About CarzSpaCarzSpa is a leading car detailing franchisor in India and Nepal, with a growing network of studios across the region. We build and support franchise businesses through our brand, training, technology, products and supply chain, across car detailing, ceramic and graphene coatings, and paint protection film (PPF) through our proprietary Aegis brand.

As we enter our next phase of growth, we are strengthening our leadership team and building the operating systems required to scale effectively.

About the RoleThis is a Director’s Office role focused on strengthening leadership execution, accountability and cross-functional coordination.

The role addresses a key organisational need: establishing a reliable operating rhythm across departments, improving the quality and speed of Director-level decisions, and ensuring that critical processes do not fall through the cracks.

It is a distinct role designed to improve how the organisation operates, rather than a rebranding of an existing position.

Key Responsibilities1. Operating Cadence

- Run weekly and monthly leadership reviews, collecting commitments from team leads and tracking strategic initiatives.
- Monitor follow-through, flag delays early and provide the Director with a clear picture of progress and exceptions.

2. Decision Pre-Screening

- Review proposals, presentations, campaign materials and other items before they reach the Director.
- Evaluate options, eliminate unsuitable alternatives and present transparent, well-reasoned recommendations.

3. SOP Governance

- Build and maintain playbooks for critical cross-functional and infrequent processes.
- Ensure documented processes are followed consistently and improved where necessary.

4. Leadership Leverage

- Identify recurring bottlenecks, unresolved decisions and cross-functional dependencies.
- Drive issues towards resolution by clarifying ownership, surfacing risks and ensuring timely follow-through.

5. Franchise & Business Understanding

- Understand how Head Office decisions translate into execution across a distributed franchise network.
- Balance organisational priorities with the practical realities of franchise operations.

What the Role Looks Like Day-to-Day
- Prepare weekly leadership reviews, ensuring every key commitment has a clear owner, status and next step.
- Follow up with functional leaders on priorities and highlight exceptions rather than simply reporting activity.
- Screen decision items before they reach the Director.
- Identify blocked decisions, unclear accountability and breakdowns in execution.
- Maintain critical cross-functional SOPs so execution does not depend on individual memory.

What This Role Is Not
- Project execution: New strategic initiatives are led by the Project Manager.
- Calendar and personal logistics: Managed by the Executive Assistant.
- Technology strategy and delivery: Owned by the CTO.
- Strategy alone: This role focuses on translating leadership priorities into operating discipline, accountability and follow-through.

What Success Looks Like in the First 6–12 Months
- Improved on-time completion of strategic initiatives across functional owners.
- Reduced turnaround time for Director-level approvals and reviews.

- A clear and reliable weekly operating rhythm across functional leaders.
- Documented and consistently followed SOPs for critical cross-functional processes, starting with selected franchise and business processes.
- Fewer unresolved cross-functional issues reaching the Director without a clear recommendation or owner.

Who We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5–9 years, ideally in management consulting, a founder’s/CEO’s office, or senior operations at a growth-stage company.
- Leadership presence: Credibility to work effectively with established functional leaders without formal authority over them.
- Decision-making: Strong judgment in distinguishing matters requiring Director-level attention from those that can be resolved elsewhere.
- Systems mindset: Ability to build and maintain practical processes without over-engineering them.
- Analytical ability: Comfortable working with business metrics, dashboards and operating data to identify trends, exceptions and areas requiring attention.
- Influence without authority: Ability to drive accountability through clarity, persistence, structured follow-up and credibility rather than hierarchy.
- Discretion and confidentiality: Maturity and judgment in handling sensitive business, people and strategic information.
- Location: Based in Surat or willing to relocate.

Growth PathThis role offers a potential 2–3 year pathway towards a broader operating leadership position for the right candidate. Working closely with the Director, you will gain exposure across the organisation and progressively take on greater operating responsibility.

Compensation₹18 - 28 LPA CTC, depending on experience and fit. Compensation is indicative and open to discussion based on the candidate’s profile.
