ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re hiring a high-calibre Chief of Staff / Strategic Operations professional to work directly with the COO on the company’s highest-priority strategic and operational initiatives. This is a hands-on role for an exceptional problem solver who can take an ambiguous business problem, structure it, build the analysis, and drive it through to execution.

You’ll work closely with the COO and senior leadership team, owning projects that directly affect growth, financial performance, and the operating model.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Lead strategic projects for the COO and leadership team
- Support R&D; tax credit initiatives and related financial analysis
- Build headcount plans and financial models
- Improve and streamline operational processes across the business
- Build company-wide milestones, KPIs, and strategic reporting
- Develop leadership dashboards and insights to support decision-making
- Analyse business performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Drive cross-functional initiatives from strategy through to execution




- Work with senior stakeholders to make sure strategic priorities are delivered
- Turn ambiguous problems into structured analysis and actionable recommendations
- Help establish scalable processes, operating rhythms, and reporting frameworks

WHAT YOU BRING
- Former consultant at McKinsey, BCG, or Bain (required)
- 3-7 years of experience in strategy, business operations, or complex problem solving
- Exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills
- Comfort working directly with C-suite and senior leadership
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and independently drive solutions
- A strong execution mindset: you move from recommendation to implementation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Comfort in a rapid-moving, high-ownership environment
- Ability to work Australian business hours or maintain meaningful overlap with them
