ROLE SUMMARY

Role Title: Chief Business Officer

Reporting To: CEO

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Average Experience (in years): 20+ years within the manufacturing industry, 12-15 years of experience in ESR, steel, forging, special metals, heavy engineering industries and downstream facilities like heat treatment & machining

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The incumbent will provide strategic and operational leadership for the entire ESR and Forging business with complete accountability for business growth, profitability, manufacturing excellence, customer satisfaction, technology leadership, and sustainable value creation. The role will oversee business strategy, commercial operations, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, financial performance, and organizational capability while ensuring world-class standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. This role will drive the business towards becoming a preferred supplier of critical forged and ESR products for Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, Energy, Railways, Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, and Industrial markets.

TECHNICAL COMEPTENCIES

- Strong understanding of ESR (Electro Slag Remelting), steelmaking, forging, heat treatment, machining, metallurgy, and critical engineering manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in managing integrated manufacturing businesses with full P&L; responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Power, Railways, Marine, and Heavy Engineering markets.
- Expertise in strategic planning, business development, contract management, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, Industry 4.0, and digital manufacturing.
- Knowledge of metallurgical testing, quality assurance systems, statutory compliance, and international manufacturing standards.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, business analytics, and capital investment planning.
