1. Role Title

CATIA V5 & V6 3DEXPERIENCE Software Engineer – CAA

2. Role Description

Responsible for CATIA V5 and V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE customization, implementation, and software development using CAA and C++. The role involves understanding and analyzing customer requirements, preparing technical specifications, designing and developing efficient and reusable code, performing unit testing, troubleshooting defects, and supporting the delivery of high-quality software solutions for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

The candidate will work with the Global Services Delivery Center (GSDC) CATIA V5 & V6 – CAA Development Team, system integrator partners, and Value Solutions (VS) channel partners.

3. Skills Required

3.1 Technical Skills

- Strong proficiency in C++ programming and good understanding of C++ language specifications.
- Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, including inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation.
- Thorough understanding of the C++ Standard Library, STL containers, and algorithms.
- Good understanding of memory management in non-garbage-collected environments.
- Knowledge of dynamic polymorphism and C++-specific concepts.
- Experience in C/C++ software development and CATIA customization using CAA for CATIA V5 and 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Ability to analyze requirements, prepare technical specifications, and design software solutions.
- Experience in unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code optimization.
- Knowledge of code quality, maintainability, and automation practices.

Minimum (years): 3

Preferred (years): 5+

5. Must-Have Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in C++ software development.
- Hands-on experience in C/C++ programming and CATIA customization using CAA for CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts, STL containers, algorithms, and memory management.
- Experience in requirement analysis, solution design, software development, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to develop, debug, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code.

6. Nice-to-Have Experience

- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and processes.
- Experience with mathematical algorithms, geometry, and topology.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to CATIA V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE customization.

7. Expected Deliverables

- Requirement analysis and preparation of technical specifications.
- Design, development, and maintenance of reliable and reusable C++ software components.
- CATIA V5/V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE customization using CAA.

8. Specific Requirements / Remarks

- Experience: Minimum 3 years; preferred 5+ years.
- Strong C++ programming skills and hands-on CATIA CAA customization experience are essential.
- Experience in CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE is required.
- Knowledge of PLM, mathematical algorithms, geometry, and topology is an added advantage.
- Positive customer-facing communication skills are expected.
