Role Description The Fabrication Production Manager (Sheet Metal) is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for leading day-to-day sheet metal fabrication operations. This role oversees production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet delivery timelines, quality standards, and cost targets. The manager coordinates with design, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure accurate fabrication of components, efficient material utilization, and adherence to safety procedures.

Daily responsibilities include supervising shop-floor personnel, monitoring machine and tooling performance, resolving production issues, and implementing process improvements. The role also involves maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO and OH&S; requirements, and supporting training and development of the fabrication team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· B.Tech is mandatory.

· 5–8 years of relevant experience in production/manufacturing operations.

· Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication is mandatory.

· Strong understanding of fabrication processes, production planning, and shop-floor management.

· Experience in team handling,



productivity improvement, quality control, and process optimization.

· Good problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.

· Proficiency in production reporting and MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word etc.

Job Summary

WAE Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager with hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of production planning, process optimization, quality control, manpower management, and shop-floor operations. Experience with STP, WTP, and ETP systems will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day production activities related to sheet metal fabrication and ensure timely execution of production plans.

· Oversee fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, punching, welding, assembly, and finishing.

· Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and other production resources.

· Monitor production targets, productivity, rejection rates, and overall operational efficiency.

· Implement process improvements to reduce wastage, production costs, and manufacturing cycle time.

· Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and production SOPs.

· Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, and Planning teams for smooth production operations.

· Manage and guide shop-floor teams, supervisors,



and operators to achieve production targets.

· Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

· Maintain production reports, downtime records, material consumption reports, and other operational documentation.

· Ensure proper maintenance and efficient utilization of production equipment.

· Support environmental compliance and utility management related to STP, WTP, and ETP, wherever applicable.

Other Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in sheet metal fabrication management, including production planning, workflow optimization, and shop-floor supervision.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and tools, such as cutting, bending, welding, and assembly of sheet metal components.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials for accurate fabrication.
- Experience implementing and maintaining quality standards, preferably within ISO-certified manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, OH&S; practices, and compliance with relevant safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using production management or ERP software for tracking orders, materials, and capacity.
- Effective leadership skills, including team coordination, performance monitoring, and skills development.
- Robust problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities for addressing production bottlenecks and improving efficiency.
- Clear and professional communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in water treatment or industrial OEM manufacturing is an advantage.
