Role Description The Cambridge School Academic Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Vellore. The coordinator oversees implementation of the Cambridge International Curriculum, aligning teaching practices with school standards and academic goals.

Curriculum & Lesson Planning

- Review lesson plans for alignment with the Cambridge framework
- Ensure integration of differentiation strategies to support diverse learner needs
- Verify inclusion of clear assessment objectives in planning and delivery
- Provide academic support for activity-based learning and higher-order thinking skill (HOTS) integration

Academic Planning & Monitoring




- Prepare and review Term Specifications in coordination with subject teachers
- Monitor syllabus pacing and ensure timely, consistent execution across sections
- Conduct regular student performance analysis and recommend academic interventions

Assessment & Question Paper Quality Control
- Ensure question papers align with assessment objectives and correct command terms
- Check difficulty-level distribution to maintain balanced, standards-appropriate assessments

Qualifications

- Master's degree in a relevant subject/education field (mandatory)
- Prior experience working within the Cambridge International curriculum (CAIE) is essential
- Demonstrated experience in academic coordination, curriculum planning, or a similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of Cambridge assessment objectives, command terms, and pedagogy
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, learners, and families.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple academic processes.
