Branch Manager – Study Abroad

Set up and lead our new Raipur office and build Zoom Abroad's India operations from the ground up: counsel students, drive enrolments, and build lasting relationships.

About Zoom Abroad

Zoom Abroad is an international education consultancy headquartered in London, UK, with a presence in Nigeria and Australia. We help students find, apply to and secure admission at universities abroad, with guidance at every step from course selection to visa and departure. We are now establishing a fresh office in Raipur to manage and grow our Indian operations.

The Role

We are looking for a Branch Manager to set up and lead our new Raipur office, which will manage Zoom Abroad's operations in India. This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch leadership role for someone who can both counsel and sell: you will guide students to the right university choices, own the branch's enrolment targets, generate demand across Raipur and the wider region, and represent Zoom Abroad in the local education community. We are looking for a reliable, long-term team member who wants to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities

■ Student counselling: Counsel students and parents on countries, universities, courses, budgets, scholarships and career outcomes; recommend the right-fit options with honesty and care.

■ Sales & conversions: Own the branch pipeline from enquiry to enrolment; follow up consistently, handle objections and close admissions against monthly and intake-wise targets.

■ Demand generation: Build a steady lead flow through school and college partnerships, seminars, education fairs,



local events, referrals and digital campaigns.

■ Relationship management: Build lasting relationships with students, parents, schools, coaching institutes, sub-agents and university representatives.

■ Application oversight: Ensure applications, documentation, offer letters and visa files are accurate, complete and submitted on time.

■ Branch management: Help set up the current office's processes, systems and local partnerships; run day-to-day operations, and hire and mentor counsellors as the team grows.

■ Reporting: Maintain the CRM, track leads and conversions, and share regular performance reports with leadership.

■ Travel: Travel within Chhattisgarh and neighbouring regions for events, school visits and partner meetings as required.

What We're Looking For

■ Domain experience: 4–8 years in international education / study abroad counselling, with a proven record of converting students. Candidates with relatable experience (education sales, admissions, test-prep, or high-value consultative sales) will be considered.

■ Destination knowledge:



Working knowledge of admissions and visa processes for key destinations such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland and Europe.

■ Sales-oriented attitude: Target-driven, comfortable with follow-ups and closing, and motivated by incentives.

■ Result-driven mindset: Takes ownership of numbers and outcomes, not just activity.

■ Relationship builder: Earns trust with students and parents; maintains a strong local network.

■ Reliable & long-term: Stable career history and a genuine interest in building the Raipur branch over the long term.

■ Communication: Excellent spoken and written English and Hindi; confident presenting to groups of students and parents.

■ Local presence: Based in Raipur or willing to relocate; Raipur-based candidates from the study abroad industry preferred.

Qualifications

■ Graduate in any discipline; postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. Personal experience of studying abroad is a plus.

■ Comfortable using CRM tools, MS Office / Google Workspace and digital communication channels.
