Role & responsibilities

- Operate and monitor boilers to ensure protected, reliable, and efficient steam generation.

- Ensure compliance with applicable boiler safety regulations, statutory requirements, and operating procedures.

- Monitor boiler pressure, temperature, water level, fuel consumption, and other critical operating parameters.

- Supervise boiler operators and ensure adherence to safety standards and operating procedures.

- Monitor boiler feed water quality, water treatment, and blowdown operations.

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of boilers, pumps, valves, pipelines, and auxiliary equipment.

- Identify operational issues, troubleshoot equipment problems, and take corrective actions.

- Maintain boiler logbooks, daily operating reports, fuel consumption records, and maintenance documentation.

- Coordinate with production, maintenance, electrical, and utility teams to ensure uninterrupted steam supply.

- Implement energy-saving initiatives to improve boiler efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

- Ensure proper housekeeping, workplace safety,



and emergency preparedness in the boiler house.

- Support statutory inspections, audits, and compliance documentation.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of boiler operations, steam generation, and utility systems.

- Understanding of boiler safety standards and statutory compliance.

- Knowledge of boiler feed water treatment and water quality parameters.

- Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of boiler auxiliaries.

- Good analytical, problem-solving, and team-handling skills.

- Ability to maintain operational records and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred candidate profile

- Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Valid BOE certificate/licence, as required under applicable regulations.

- 58 years of relevant experience in boiler operations, preferably in a manufacturing or textile industry.

- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
