Key Responsibilities Plant Operations

- Oversee the overall operations of the assigned plant to ensure secure, efficient, and uninterrupted functioning.

- Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the boiler, steam generation, utilities, and associated plant systems.

- Monitor plant performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency.

- Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of the plant.

- Coordinate effectively with the Head Office, management, and plant teams for smooth plant operations.

- Monitor operational updates and ensure timely execution of management directives.

- Ensure timely resolution of operational issues and maintain continuity of plant operations.

- Take overall ownership of plant performance, operational discipline, and execution.

Boiler Operations & Maintenance

- Supervise and ensure safe and productive boiler operations, steam generation, and utility systems.

- Ensure compliance with BOE requirements and applicable statutory requirements related to boiler operations.

- Monitor boiler efficiency, steam quality, fuel consumption, and overall utility performance.

- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of pipelines, insulation, colour painting, valves, pumps, and other plant infrastructure.

- Plan and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize plant downtime.

- Ensure proper operation of water treatment systems, condensate recovery, and associated utility systems.

- Identify operational abnormalities and take timely corrective actions.

- Maintain proper operational records, logbooks, and maintenance records.

Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with IBR, boiler regulations, environmental regulations,



and company safety standards.

- Ensure valid statutory approvals, licenses, inspections, and certifications related to boiler and plant operations.

- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS).

- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure implementation of corrective actions.

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and emergency procedures.

- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe working practices across the plant.

- Ensure environmental and statutory compliance requirements are met at all times.

Performance & Process Improvement

- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plant and boiler operations.

- Monitor key operational KPIs including boiler efficiency, steam generation, steam quality, fuel consumption, breakdown frequency, plant availability, and utility performance.

- Identify opportunities for automation, energy conservation, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

- Lead root cause analysis for operational and maintenance issues and implement effective corrective actions.

- Drive initiatives to improve plant reliability and efficiency and reduce operational losses.

- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, fuel, and other resources.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor,



and develop engineers, operators, technicians, and other plant personnel.

- Allocate manpower effectively and ensure proper shift planning and workforce utilization.

- Provide operational guidance and technical support to the plant team.

- Maintain regular coordination with management to review plant performance, maintenance activities, manpower utilization, and compliance status.

- Ensure team-member productivity, discipline, accountability, and adherence to company policies.

- Conduct regular team meetings and communicate operational priorities and safety requirements.

- Build a culture of ownership, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.

Customer Support When Needed

- Coordinate customer visits and ensure high operational and safety standards at customer sites.

- Support customer onboarding and operational readiness for new projects, wherever required.

- Coordinate with customers to resolve operational issues affecting service quality and customer satisfaction.

- Provide technical and operational support during customer inspections and visits.

Project Support When Needed

- Support installation, commissioning, expansion, and modification of new SteamHouse projects.

- Review operational readiness before commissioning and ensure smooth handover to operations.

- Coordinate with project and engineering teams for successful commissioning and stabilization of plant operations.

- Provide technical inputs related to boiler, utilities, steam systems, and plant operations.

- Coordinate internal projects, follow up with relevant departments, monitor project progress, and ensure timely execution of project activities.
