Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled BIM Modeler – Electrical MEP to develop and maintain accurate 3D electrical models, layouts, and construction drawings for solar projects and associated electrical infrastructure. The candidate will coordinate electrical systems with other MEP disciplines and civil/structural teams to ensure design accuracy, clash-free models, and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for electrical systems using Autodesk Revit and other relevant BIM tools.
- Prepare electrical layouts, lighting layouts, cable tray routing, cable containment, earthing, and lightning protection layouts.
- Model electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, panels, cable trays, conduits, and distribution systems.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, sections, elevations, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate electrical models with HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks or similar software.
- Support BIM coordination meetings and incorporate design revisions as required.
- Ensure drawings and models comply with project specifications, electrical standards, and applicable codes.
- Maintain BIM model accuracy, naming conventions, drawing registers, and revision control.
- Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to address technical queries.





Required Qualifications
- Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–4 years of experience in electrical BIM modeling or MEP design.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.
- Understanding of electrical systems, cable routing, load distribution, and electrical drawings.
- Ability to interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and construction documentation.
- Positive coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in solar PV projects, renewable energy infrastructure, substations, or industrial electrical systems.
- Familiarity with cable schedules, earthing layouts, inverter/transformer layouts, and DC/AC cable routing.
- Knowledge of BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Understanding of IEC standards and relevant electrical safety requirements.
