Role Description The Banquet Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur.

The Banquet

Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all banquet events, including corporate functions, weddings, social gatherings, and conferences across the hotel’s banquet halls. This role involves managing booking inquiries, conducting client meetings, creating event layouts, coordinating with the food and beverage team, and ensuring timely setup and breakdown of events.

The Banquet

Manager leads and supervises banquet staff, handles scheduling, provides on-the-floor guidance during functions, and ensures service standards are consistently met.



Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring guest satisfaction, addressing service issues, managing costs, working closely with kitchen and sales teams, and maintaining compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

- Solid focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to manage guest expectations and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear coordination with clients, staff, and cross-functional hotel teams.
- Sound knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, banquet service standards, and menu planning for events.
- Experience in Hiring, training, and supervising banquet and service staff to maintain consistent performance.
- Previous experience as a Banquet Manager or in a similar supervisory role within hotels or hospitality venues.
- Ability to manage multiple events, strong organizational and time-management capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and event management tools; familiarity with POS or banquet management systems is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
