Education / Company Background

- Preferred Qualification: Bachelor's or master's degree from a reputed engineering institute such as IITs, NITs, or BITS Pilani.
- OR prior experience at a reputed product company, high-growth startup, or leading technology organization.
- This is a Python-focused Backend Developer Intern role. Strong Python fundamentals and hands-on backend development experience are required.

Candidates should have experience or familiarity with:

- Python
- Backend Development
- REST APIs
- SQL / PostgreSQL
- Git / Version Control
- Debugging & Testing
- FastAPI, Flask, Django, or equivalent Python backend frameworks — preferred
- Docker
- CI/CD — basic familiarity preferred
- AWS — basic exposure preferred
- AI/LLM experience — preferred
- Async Programming — basic understanding preferred
- Backend Deployment & Monitoring — basic familiarity preferred

Product/SaaS company experience is preferred, particularly candidates who have completed internships or projects involving real-world backend applications at product-led companies, SaaS companies, or high-growth startups.

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 6 months of relevant internship experience in backend development.
- Strong Python programming fundamentals and hands-on experience building backend applications.
- Understanding of REST APIs, SQL, databases, and basic backend architecture.




- Practical experience through internships, rather than only academic coursework.
- Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, databases, and problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn FastAPI or other Python backend frameworks and contribute to real-world product development.
- Ability to debug issues, write basic tests, collaborate with engineers, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Interest in AI/LLM technologies and building AI-powered backend applications is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with guidance from senior engineers.

What You’ll Do

- Assist in developing and maintaining backend services using Python.
- Write clean, readable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
- Help build and integrate RESTful APIs for product features.
- Work with PostgreSQL to write queries and support database-related tasks.
- Learn and contribute to backend development using FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks.
- Assist in testing, debugging, and improving backend performance and code quality.
- Work with Docker and learn the basics of containerized application deployment.
- Gain exposure to AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- Support CI/CD processes and learn how backend services are deployed and monitored.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and the product team to build and improve features.
- Explore AI/LLM technologies and contribute to AI-powered backend features where relevant.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks,



seek feedback, and contribute to real-world product development.
