Job Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong AI/LLM integration skills to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for our AI-powered healthcare products.

The ideal candidate should have strong backend engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience working with AI APIs, LLMs, RAG systems, vector databases, AI agents, data pipelines, and scalable APIs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for web and mobile applications.
- Integrate AI/ML models and LLM-based systems into production applications.
- Develop AI-powered workflows, recommendation systems, and intelligent automation.
- Build backend infrastructure for conversational AI and healthcare assistants.
- Design and implement databases and efficient data models.
- Develop systems for processing healthcare, wellness, patient, and wearable/CGM-related data.
- Integrate third-party APIs and healthcare technology platforms.
- Work with frontend developers, AI engineers, product managers, and clinical/Ayurveda teams.
- Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and data security.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend performance.
- Write unit tests,



integration tests, and maintain high-quality production code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend architecture decisions.
- Develop scalable systems capable of supporting growing users and healthcare data.
- Stay updated with emerging LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, and backend technologies.

Required Technical Skills Candidates should have strong proficiency in one or more of:

- Python
- Node.js / TypeScript
- Java / Spring Boot

Backend Development

- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Experience with authentication and authorization systems.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and background jobs.
- Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with API testing and documentation.

AI Skills – Mandatory

- Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or other LLM APIs.
- Strong understanding of Prompt Engineering.
- Experience building AI-powered backend applications.
- Understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, Chroma, or pgvector.
- Understanding of embeddings and semantic search.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data for AI applications.
- Familiarity with AI agents, function/tool calling, and multi-step AI workflows.
- Understanding of LLM response validation, hallucination reduction,



and evaluation.
- Experience with AI model integration, inference APIs, or ML pipelines is an advantage.

Cloud & DevOps – Good to Have

- AWS / Azure / GCP.
- Docker and containerization.
- CI/CD pipelines.
- Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Redis / caching.
- Message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Logging, monitoring, and application performance management.

Healthcare & Data Security – Good to Have

- Experience working with healthcare or wellness applications.
- Understanding of healthcare data privacy and security.
- Experience handling sensitive user/patient data.
- Familiarity with healthcare APIs or wearable/IoT data.
- Experience working with data analytics or biomedical datasets is an advantage.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate

- Kelambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
