Company Description CG Semi Private Limited, a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, is a cutting-edge joint venture with Renesas Electronics Corporation and Stars Microelectronics (Thailand) Public Co. Ltd. The company is establishing a world-class OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, India, on a 28-acre site with a planned investment of ₹7600 crores over five years.

The facility will produce a wide range of semiconductor packages, including traditional QFN and QFP as well as advanced FC BGA and FC CSP, serving industries such as Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Industrial Manufacturing, and 5G technology. With a planned capacity of up to 15 million units per day, CG Semi aims to play a key role in scaling India’s high-tech manufacturing capabilities. This venture reflects a solid commitment to innovation, growth, and leadership in the global semiconductor industry.

Role Description The Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Test Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. The engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing ATE test programs for semiconductor devices, ensuring product performance and reliability. Daily activities include configuring and maintaining test equipment, executing test plans, analyzing test data, debugging issues, and collaborating with design, process, and production teams to resolve test-related problems.

The role also involves creating and updating test documentation,



supporting new product introduction, and driving continuous improvement in test coverage, cycle time, and yield. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to meet customer requirements and manufacturing schedules while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in electronics and semiconductor testing, with experience in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms and test program development.
- Skills in test data analysis, debugging, root-cause investigation, and use of measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Knowledge of digital and analog circuits, device characterization, reliability testing, and production test methodologies.
- Experience with test automation, scripting or programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, or similar), and version control practices.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments, OSAT operations, and quality systems including SPC, FMEA, and basic statistical analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret datasheets, test specifications, and engineering documentation, and translate them into robust test solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and support fast-paced production needs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, or a related field
