Role & responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end auction events, from consignment intake, cataloging, and marketing to live or online bidding execution and post-sale settlement.
- Financial Oversight: Prepare annual budgets, monitor monthly financial forecasts, set pricing strategies, and maximize profitability.
- Client & Consignor Relations: Build relationships with high-value buyers, sellers, and collectors, and vet incoming consignments for quality and authenticity.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor staff, including auction specialists, administrative teams, and floor porters.
- Compliance & Marketing:
Ensure all sales adhere to relevant auction laws and regulations while driving promotional campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience: Proven track record in auction management, sales leadership, or high-value asset appraisal.
- Skills: Superior organizational, public speaking, negotiation, and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with auction management software, bidding platforms, and industry-specific market trends (e.g., art, equipment, real estate)
