Designation: Assistant Professor

Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant specialization from a recognized university.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in ECE as per the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, lecture notes, assignments, and question papers.
- Conduct theory, laboratory, tutorial, and project guidance sessions effectively.
- Evaluate student performance through continuous assessments, internal examinations, and semester examinations.
- Mentor and counsel students on academic progress, career development, and higher education opportunities.
- Participate in curriculum development, syllabus revision, and outcome-based education (OBE) activities.
- Maintain all academic records, attendance registers, laboratory records, and course files as per institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Encourage students to undertake innovative projects, internships, and technical competitions.
- Undertake research activities, publish papers in reputed journals, and present research at national and international conferences.
- Apply for research grants, consultancy projects, and funded research from government and industry agencies.
- Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, faculty development programmes (FDPs), industrial visits, and guest lectures.




- Develop and maintain laboratory infrastructure and ensure proper utilization and maintenance of equipment.
- Contribute to accreditation and quality assurance activities such as NBA, NAAC, AICTE, and ISO documentation.
- Perform departmental and institutional administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of the Department and Management.
- Establish collaborations with industries and promote industry-institute interaction.
- Uphold institutional values, maintain professional ethics, and comply with all academic policies and regulations.

Skills Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Mechanical Engineering.
- Effective teaching, presentation, and communication skills.
- Positive analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities.
- Knowledge of engineering software and simulation tools relevant to Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to conduct research, prepare technical documentation, and write research proposals.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Preferred Qualifications
- Fresher or 2-3 years of Teaching or industry experience is desirable.
- Publications in Scopus/SCI/UGC Care indexed journals will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), NBA, and NAAC accreditation processes.
