Company Description

Krishi Cress is a fresh farm produce provider in Delhi-NCR, delivering a variety of fruits, vegetables, salad greens, and edible flowers to homes and restaurants. Partnering with farms across North India, Krishi Cress ensures a stocked online store with exotic and seasonal foods. Their line of farm products includes freshly-brewed Kombucha and artisanal cheese, promoting local foods and empowering Indian farmers.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Dry Store Management

· Receive shipments of raw ingredients (tea, sugar, oil, vinegar etc) and packaging (glass bottles, caps, labels, stickers, corrugated boxes).

· Inspect incoming glass bottles for breakage and fresh produce for spoilage before accepting delivery.

· "Kit" and issue exact quantities of ingredients to the production & warehouse team based on the daily production schedule to prevent wastage on the production floor.

· Conduct weekly physical stock counts of high-value items (e.g., specialized flavorings, kegs) and monthly full-store audits.

· Monitor stock levels of critical consumables (CO2 cylinders, pH strips, cleaning chemicals) and raise purchase requisitions to avoid production downtime.

· Monitor breakage rates of glass bottles during handling and implement safer stacking/moving procedures.

· Ensure the dry store (sugar/tea) is pest-free and humidity-controlled to prevent clumping or contamination.

· Ensure all chemicals (sanitizers like peracetic acid) are stored separately from food ingredients in compliance with safety regulations.

Stock Replenishment

· Collaborate with the Sales teams to understand demand forecasts

· Establish and adjust minimum/maximum stock levels (par levels) for different seasonal produce to prevent overstocking of highly perishable items (e.g., berries, leafy greens) versus hardier items (e.g., potatoes, onions).

Stock Control & Perishability Management

· Execute strict rotation strategies (FIFO/FEFO) to ensure older stock is dispatched first,



prioritizing produce nearing the end of its lifecycle to minimize spoilage.

· Conduct daily physical counts and weekly full-warehouse audits to reconcile physical stock with the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

· Track, record, and analyze waste/shrinkage data.

· Implement corrective actions to reduce spoilage rates below set KPIs.

Receiving & Quality Assurance (QA)

· Oversee the receiving team to ensure all incoming fruits and vegetables meet quality standards (size, color, ripeness, temperature) before acceptance.

· Ensure all inventory is stored at the correct temperature and humidity zones immediately upon receipt to maintain freshness.

· Train inventory staff on proper handling techniques to prevent bruising and damage to produce.

· Ensure the warehouse team adheres to food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO) and warehouse safety standards.

· Communicate with Procurement team for incoming shipments that do not meet quality specifications.

Team Management

· Prepare a work schedule for the team to ensure inventory management is executed in a timely fashion

· Monitor work of team members to ensure that work is executed as per schedule

· Sanctioning leaves/extra working of team members so as to ensure that drawing is executed as per schedule

· Ensure that enough people are available in the team for smooth functioning of the department

· Maintain a positive workplace in the team and ensure that all team members bond well as a team

· Motivate team members and encourage them to learn new things

· Participate in selection interviews

· Orient and train new joinees in the department

· Monitor activities the team to ensure all SOPs are implemented correctly

· Train and counsel team members to ensure they perform efficiently

· Act as the spokesperson of the team

· Coordinate with HR for any employee development initiatives

· Suggest newer initiatives to HR for team development

· Evaluate team performance
