Looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) for an FMCG company in RANCHI . The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributors and retailers, developing the market, and achieving assigned sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned area.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key customers.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the distribution network.
- Manage and monitor distributor and retailer performance.
- Lead, guide, and motivate the sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure effective product availability and visibility across the assigned market.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and market trends.
- Conduct regular market visits and provide feedback to management.
- Implement company sales strategies, promotional schemes,
and marketing activities.
- Prepare regular sales reports and maintain accurate market data.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from distributors/customers.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate/MBA in Sales & Marketing or a relevant field preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant FMCG sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of the local market and distribution channels.
- Experience in distributor/dealer management and team handling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Target-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Candidates with a solid FMCG sales network in RANCHI , JHARKHAND will be preferred.
