Summary

As an Application Support Engineer, this role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Manage and support Microsoft Azure IaaS services including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, Key Vaults, Backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Perform VM lifecycle management including provisioning, resizing, patching, migration, decommissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Administer Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File Services, and Windows Security.
- Lead incident, problem, change, and service request management activities in alignment with ITIL processes.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA)



and implement preventive measures to improve service reliability and reduce recurring incidents.
- Drive patch management, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and compliance initiatives across cloud and Windows environments.
- Configure and support Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vaults, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), failover, and disaster recovery activities.
- Develop and enhance automation using PowerShell and scripting to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Lead efforts to improve system stability, optimize support processes, and implement continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Network, Security, Database, and Application teams to deliver infrastructure solutions and support business-critical services.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with AWS Administration and terraform hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure management and deployment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Experience with monitoring tools and incident management processes.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting to streamline support tasks.

Additional Information
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS.
- Certified skilled with Az-104 and ITIL
- This position is based at our BDC7A - SEZ office.
- A 15 years full-time education is required.
