Role Description The Application Security Lead is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for overseeing the security posture of applications across their lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, and maintenance. Day-to-day activities include performing security assessments, reviewing application architectures and code for vulnerabilities, coordinating remediation with development and operations teams, and managing application security tools and processes.

The Application Security

Lead will develop and maintain security standards and guidelines, support secure SDLC practices, and provide expert guidance to project teams on threats, controls, and best practices. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders, preparing security reports,



and contributing to incident response and root-cause analysis related to application security issues.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex application environments, identify risks, and propose effective security solutions.
- Experience in application application security, including working with development teams to integrate security controls into existing and new systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting security-related issues in applications, including vulnerability analysis, incident investigation, and root-cause identification.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders, documenting findings, and delivering security training or briefings.
- Background in technical support or engineering environments, with familiarity in secure coding practices, SDLC, and common application security frameworks (e.g., OWASP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, OSCP) are an advantage.
- Knowledge of modern application architectures (web, mobile, cloud, APIs) and experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and to prioritize tasks in a dynamic project environment.
