About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Accounts & Finance to manage the complete finance and accounting operations of our India sourcing business, along with handling UK accounting and finance activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Indian accounting, taxation, compliance, financial reporting, and business finance, along with practical knowledge of UK Accounts, UK VAT, and SAGE accounting software.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, timely reporting, statutory compliance, cash-flow management, and coordination of accounting activities for both India and UK operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. India – Accounts & Finance

- Manage the complete day-to-day accounting and finance functions of the India sourcing business.
- Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, journals, accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor vendor payments, customer receipts, expenses, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Manage payroll-related accounting and financial entries.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and statutory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian accounting, taxation, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Establish and maintain proper financial controls and accounting processes.

2. UK Accounts & Finance

- Manage and oversee accounting activities related to the UK business.
- Prepare and maintain UK books of accounts and financial records.
- Handle UK VAT accounting, VAT returns,



and related compliance requirements.
- Manage UK sales, purchase, expenses, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Support preparation of UK management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of transactions between India and UK entities.
- Coordinate with UK accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and other professional consultants when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable UK accounting and financial regulations.

3. SAGE Accounting

- Maintain and manage accounting records using SAGE.
- Prepare reports, reconciliations, journals, and financial statements through SAGE.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions.
- Troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and maintain data accuracy.
- Support implementation and improvement of accounting processes within SAGE.

4. Financial Management & Reporting

- Prepare MIS and financial reports for management review.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Monitor profitability, costs, expenses, and margins.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts and track actual performance against budgets.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in a senior finance/accounting management role.
- Strong experience in end-to-end accounting and finance operations.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting, GST, TDS, taxation,



and statutory compliance.
- Practical working knowledge of UK Accounts and UK VAT is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with SAGE accounting software is mandatory.
- Experience in handling accounts for India–UK business operations will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, cash flow, and reconciliations.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently manage the complete finance function.
- Experience in a sourcing, trading, manufacturing, apparel, fashion, or export/import environment will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be:

- A hands-on finance professional capable of independently managing the accounts function.
- Experienced in dealing with both Indian and UK accounting requirements.
- Strong in UK VAT and SAGE.
- Comfortable working directly with senior management.
- Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Capable of managing multiple entities, currencies, and international transactions.
- Strong in financial controls, compliance, reporting, and process improvement.

Compensation

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience and expertise.

Note

Candidates must have practical hands-on experience in UK Accounts, UK VAT, and SAGE. Candidates with only Indian accounting experience but without UK accounting exposure may not be suitable for this position.

Pay: From ₹1,200,000.00 per year
