ACCOUNTANT – SALES, PURCHASE & ACCOUNTS MANAGEMENTM/S SWAJAY

1. M/S SWAJAY is looking for an experienced, responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations, sales and purchase entries, inventory-related documentation, bank transactions and party accounts. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in accounting software, preferably Tally Prime, and be capable of independently handling routine accounting work with accuracy and discipline.

The candidate should be comfortable working with sales invoices, purchase invoices, sales and purchase returns, cash transactions, bank entries, outstanding payments and stock-related records.

1. Key Responsibilities

- Maintain daily accounting records in Tally Prime.
- Enter all sales invoices, purchase invoices and related transactions accurately.
- Record sales returns, purchase returns, credit notes and debit notes.
- Maintain customer and supplier ledger accounts.
- Prepare and maintain daily cash book and bank book.
- Perform bank reconciliation and verify bank transactions.
- Maintain party-wise outstanding reports and payment follow-ups.
- Record cash receipts, cash payments and bank deposits with supporting documents.
- Maintain stock-related records and coordinate physical stock verification.
- Verify purchase bills, sales invoices, delivery challans and other supporting documents.
- Check quantities and rates mentioned on invoices and delivery challans.
- Maintain proper records of goods received, goods dispatched and returns.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales, purchase and outstanding reports.
- Assist management and the CA in preparing financial statements, audit records and tax-related data.
- Ensure that all accounting entries are supported by proper bills, vouchers or authorised documents.




- Maintain confidentiality of company accounts and financial information.

1. Eligibility Criteria

- Education: B.Com preferred; candidates with relevant practical accounting experience may also apply.
- Experience: 2–5 years in accounting or accounts management.
- Practical knowledge of Tally Prime is required.
- Good understanding of sales, purchase, returns, ledgers and bank reconciliation.
- Knowledge of Excel and basic accounting reports.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and meet reporting deadlines.
- Honest, disciplined, organised and responsible.
- Preference for candidates living in Hajipur or nearby areas.

1. Daily Reporting & Accountability

The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Complete daily sales and purchase entries on time.
- Ensure that sales returns and purchase returns are recorded correctly.
- Maintain updated cash, bank and party ledgers.
- Report discrepancies in bills, stock or payments to management.
- Keep all bills, vouchers and accounting documents properly organised.
- Submit daily or periodic accounting summaries as required.
- Ensure that no entry is made without adequate supporting documentation or approval where required.
