Key Responsibilities

- Day-to-Day Accounting: Handle daily entries of sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expense vouchers, and journal entries in accounting software like Tally Prime / ERP.

- Jewellery &
- Metal Inventory Reconciliation: Track and reconcile physical gold, silver, diamond, and gemstone stocks with accounting books.

- Specialized Calculations: Accurately compute gram/milligram weights, fine-gold equivalents, caratage (e.g., 22K/916, 18K/750), stone weights, wastage, and making/job-work charges.

- Karigar &

- Vendor Management: Maintain karigar-wise gold/material issue and receipt records, and reconcile weight differences or losses.

- Accounts Payable &

- Receivable: Monitor customer ledgers, supplier balances, and execute regular bank and cash reconciliations.

- Taxation &

- Compliance: Manage GST entries, GSTR-2B reconciliation, Input Tax Credit (ITC), and TDS compliance; coordinate with external auditors.

- MIS &

- Reporting:



Prepare periodic stock, sales, purchase, outstanding payment, and management information system (MIS) reports.

Required Qualifications &

- Skills

- Education: Minimum B.Com or M.Com
- CA Inter or relevant accounting certifications are an added advantage.

- Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within a Gems &

- Jewellery, bullion, or manufacturing/retail set-up.

- Strong proficiency in Tally Prime or relevant ERP systems.

- Positive command of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data reconciliation).

- Clear understanding of GST rules and tax deductions applicable to jewellery.

- Core Competencies: High numerical accuracy, sharp attention to detail, integrity handling high-value inventory, and strong problem-solving skills.
